Responsible Gambling
Gambling should be a form of entertainment, not a way to earn money. If it stops being fun, it may be time to step back. PlanBet offers tools to help you stay in control:
- Deposit limits: Set daily, weekly or monthly caps on how much you can add to your account. - Loss limits: Restrict how much you can lose over a set period. - Session time limits: Choose how long you can play in one sitting. - Reality checks: Get pop-up reminders showing how long you’ve been playing. - Cooling-off periods: Take a break for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Your account will be locked during this time. - Self-exclusion: Permanently close your account for a minimum of six months. You cannot reverse this decision before the period ends.
You can set or change most limits instantly through your account settings. However, increasing a limit requires a 24-hour waiting period to prevent impulsive decisions.
Warning signs of problem gambling include chasing losses, lying about how much you’ve spent, or using gambling to escape stress. If any of these sound familiar, reach out for support. Free, confidential help is available from the National Responsible Gambling Programme (NRGP), which operates a 24/7 helpline and offers counselling across South Africa. You can also register with the South African National Self-Exclusion Register to block access to all licensed gambling sites at once.
PlanBet only allows players aged 18 and over. We verify age and identity during registration. If you share a device, consider installing parental control software like Net Nanny or K9 Web Protection to stop underage access.
Account and Gameplay Rules
Only one account per person is allowed. You must be physically located in South Africa and meet the legal age requirement to sign up. During registration, you’ll provide personal details and proof of identity and address. This Know Your Customer (KYC) process helps prevent fraud, money laundering and underage gambling.
Before your first withdrawal, we’ll confirm your identity and payment method. Withdrawals may be delayed if documents are missing or unclear.
Bonuses come with conditions. Most require you to wager the bonus amount a certain number of times before you can withdraw winnings. Only specific games count toward this requirement. Bonuses expire if not used within the stated time, and there’s often a cap on how much you can cash out from bonus funds. Trying to abuse bonuses, such as opening multiple accounts or exploiting bugs, will result in forfeited offers and possible account closure.
Accounts inactive for 12 months may be classified as dormant. We’ll contact you before applying any dormancy fees, which align with industry standards.
Fair play is required. Using bots, colluding with other players, or initiating fraudulent chargebacks violates our rules and may lead to account termination.
If you have a complaint, contact our support team first. If unresolved, you may escalate the matter to the relevant South African gambling authority overseeing licensed operators.
We may update these terms occasionally. You’ll receive notice via email or a site banner at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
Privacy and Data Handling
